AST-IC-GS2
LatZero Link Network’s Second Operational Node
The AST-IC-GS2 ground station in Tenerife, Canary Islands, is a key part of the LatZero Link Network, the Equatorial Ground Network Station. Strategically positioned at a latitude of 28.48°, this facility is operated in collaboration with the Instituto Geofísico de Canarias and is specifically designed to support a wide range of satellite missions.
Equipped with advanced capabilities, AST-IC-GS2 provides reliable UHF and S-band narrowband downlink/uplink communications. Its state-of-the-art tracking system, with a pointing accuracy of 0.1 degrees, ensures precise operations for tasks such as TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking, and Command), data download, and early orbit phase activities for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions.
