Orbital Deployment
In addition to our FullSat and SharedSat services, we offer the opportunity to fly your missions with our Orbital Deployment Service. Ideal for universities and student groups whose focus is capacity development.
Your team integrates its own mission, and we take it to space. You can use your own CubeSat satellite bus, or we can provide our CubeSat Platform for your team/institution to develop all the mission planning, technology, and payload integration. Then, we get the satellite from you and take it from there to deploy it in orbit. You only focus on the mission and capacity development, and we take care of the rest.
Orbital deployment missions include Planning, testing, certification, launch procurement, frequency allocation, and more.
Astralintu’s engineering team provides full support during the entire process.
Additionally, we can host your payloads directly on the ION spacecraft by D-Orbit for In-Orbit-Validations (IoV) and In-Orbit-Test (IoT). Test and Validate your payloads in space before investing in a full CubeSat Mission. All integration into the ION spacecraft is assisted by the Astralintu team.

A triple fault-tolerant mechanism guarantees the release of all satellites that may not be released nominally before the end of the mission
InOrbit NOW offers launch and deployment services through a CubeSat and microsatellites deployer called ION Satellite Carrier and proprietary dispensers called DPODs and DCUBEs.
ION SATELLITE CARRIER is a platform able to modify its own orientation, altitude, and local time of ascending node (LTAN) to quickly deploy CubeSats and microsatellites into precise and independent orbital slots, allowing customers to start their missions faster and in optimal operational conditions.
InOrbit NOW is a family of end-to-end solutions for CubeSats and microsatellites. It includes launch and deployment services, IOD/IOV missions, and a set of add-on services
DPODS and DCUBES
DPODs and DCUBEs are proprietary dispensers available in four form factors, for CubeSats between 1U and 16U+ and compatible with the major launch providers. They can be used as a stand-alone product or integrated inside ION.
Depending on their needs and mission requirements, customers can choose two deployment options:
-
ION’s ability to release each satellite in a different orbital position, with the attitude, pointing, and impulse needed. Thanks to its propulsion module and attitude control unit, ION Satellite Carrier can modify its altitude and orientation. By calibrating the spring releases mechanism, each satellite receives the desired impulse. The release is ground-initiated, so customers can release their satellites right above their ground station or in specific light conditions. Precision deployment can be achieved either using ION, or a combination of ION and our proprietary dispensers.
-
A deployment service that relies on third-party compatible launchers equipped with our DPOD and DCUBE dispensers.
